BPD Seeks Public Help Identifying Suspects in Mattapan Assault

Boston Police are asking for the public's help identifying eight men wanted in connection with a violent attack on a gay couple in Mattapan last month.

The incident occurred around 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, when two men walking together on River Street near Edgewater Drive were taunted and then attacked. One victim was struck in the back of the head with a baseball bat.

Detectives assigned to the Boston Police Department's Civil Rights Unit have released photos of the suspects and are actively investigating the circumstances of the assault.
