When it came to organizing our days or playing games my best friend and I fought like cats and dogs. We never hit each other in anger but I know that more than once I wanted to just haul off and whack him.

However, it does make me chuckle when I think of how we annually celebrate one of the Seven Deadly Sins. Yes, pride is one of those cardinal sins. In fact, pride is at the top of the list and is actually considered the most serious of all sins and the source from which all other sins arise.

Pope Benedict XVI has made his first visit to America. It is clear this man knows his way around the public relations business. During his visit it was hard to turn on a television or open a newspaper without seeing his outstretched arms.
