Usher in autumn with an evening of high-end, low-brow burlesque by Hannah Clay Wareham
Associate EditorWednesday Oct 21, 2009 Axe to Ice Productions will host ’Boiling Point Burlesque,’ a night of burlesque and drag performances, on Sunday, Nov. 1 at the Oberon Theater (2 Arrow St., Cambridge) at 8 p.m. "We have hired an all-star cast of performers, and taken the original meaning of ’burlesque’ to create a dynamic and interesting mix of bawdy, sexy, satirical, drag, and striptease," Axe to Ice co-owner Jill Gibson said. "There’s everything from Big Moves group numbers to Miss Nicholle Pride’s drag performance to trans Vogue artist Miss Lolita LaVamp. As always with our shows, we bring a mix of straight and GLBT performance to make one big queer sexy show." Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
