Charlize Theron goes gay for a good cause by Hannah Clay Wareham
Associate EditorTuesday Oct 27, 2009 Actress Charlize Theron locked lips with one lucky lady at fundraiser for OneXOne, a charity that provides food, assistance, and services to children of Ethiopia and Rwanda, on Oct. 22.
Among other items that were auctioned off-including a trip to South Africa and a meet-and-greet with Nelson Mandela-Theron offered a 7-second kiss to a man for $130,000 after fellow actor Jeremy Piven collected more donations than Theron.
"For fuck’s sake! You can do better," she told attendees. "There is no way I am leaving here with Jeremy Piven getting a higher bid. I’ve got tits for God’s sake."
A female audience member then bid $140,000, upping the ante and winning a kiss from Theron. The women smooched on stage for twenty seconds (while the audience counted down).
The actress, a long-time LGBT rights activist, has played lesbian or bisexual characters in ’Monster’ (2003) and ’Head in the Clouds’ (2004).
