Join AIDS Action on Saturday, December 1, to commemorate World AIDS Day by lighting the Prudential Center red!
World AIDS Day is held on December 1st of each year and is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV/AIDS, show their support for people living with HIV, and remember those we have lost to the epidemic.
With our partners at Eastern Bank, we will be hosting a Flip the Switch Ceremony in the Belvidere Pavillion at the Prudential Center to raise awareness throughout the city by turning the top of the most recognizable building in Boston's skyline red. Special guest Mayor Menino will be speaking, along with AIDS Action's President and CEO, Rebecca Haag.

Join AIDS Action Committee in a celebration of life. Attendees will have the opportunity to hang a red ribbon on the Tree of Life in honor of a loved one. There will be a moment of silence for those who have passed followed by the lighting of the Tree of Life and a presentation about advocacy and policy as well as the LEAP program. Light refreshments will be served.

Upham's Corner Health Center World AIDS Day Event

Clients and their families will be able to place the names of their loved one who've passed from HIV/AIDS and their wishes inside of helium ballons and release the balloons into the world. There will be food, information, and giveaways.

Fenway Health's Living Well Presents a World AIDS Day Reading and Reception

Readings from Skip Warren’s Invisible Man and other works. Skip along with 2 other survivors presented this program for Desert AIDS Project in Palm Springs California, to develop community awareness and education. The acclaimed program now comes to Boston and Fenway Health.
This program is part of Fenway Health’s remembrance for World AIDS Day honoring those lost to AIDS and for others who still struggle. This event is free and open to the public. Food will be served.

First Annual BU Soccer Club Tournament In association Grassroots Soccer and World AIDS Day

The Boston Univerisity Soccer Club is planning a 3v3 tournament (up to 5 people to register) in order to raise money for Grassroots Soccer, a charitable organization that uses the power of soccer to educate, inspire, and mobilize communities to stop the spread of HIV. We are capping the number of teams that can register at 32. Prices: 40$/team for BU affiliates; 50$/team for non-BU affiliates and $10 for every individual "free agents" that will be placed on teams. Come out for a fun day of soccer and AIDS awareness!
