THE STORY:
It's that time of year again when I could really use your love and support for a GREAT cause. On April 15th, I will be running in the Boston Marathon raise awareness and money to support The Theater Offensive's ground-breaking, life-changing, and often times, life-saving program, True Colors OUT Youth Theater.

True Colors create a safe haven where LGBT youth and their straight allies are supported and challenged to engage fully in their own personal, social, and artistic development. True Colors work with at-risk LGBT youth and allies in the creation of original theater pieces based on personal experiences, including: bullying, homelessness, harassment, discrimination, and suicide.

My goal is to raise $5,000 to provide the much needed funds to make sure no LGBT youth go without help.

No amount is too little. But, if you need inspiration, then please consider making a donation at one of the following levels:

  • $26 - A dollar for every mile in the marathon
  • $42 - A dollar for every kilometer in the marathon (if you speak Euro)
  • $75 - The amount I hope many of you will give
  • $110 - A dollar for every percent I'll be giving on race day
  • $240 - A dollar for every minute I'll be running on race day - that’s 4 hours
  • $500 - A dollar for every mile I'll run in my training for the big day – the distance between Boston and NYC is 190 miles. The amount I’ll be training is equivalent to running/driving back and forth 2.63 times.
  • $__ Any other amount you'd like!

Now finishing its 24th year, TTO's programming is designed to prioritize the self-identified needs of low-income residents of color, reflect the diversity of the neighborhoods, and give voice to underserved LGBT members of Boston’s many communities.

The Theater Offensive is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
