And then there was one. The entire FLAG Flag Football League congratulates captain Craig Burns and his red team on their championship win this season. True to form within this league, their run to the title was a battle—with great match ups all the way through the draw. In the end, the red team got the best of Phil Clawson’s Honey Boo Boo’s who were truly the Cinderella team of the season, coming from way below .500 to make it to the Championship game. What makes the victory even more special for Craig and his crew is the fact that it is the first league championship for every member of the team. And you never forget your first time…

Even though there can only be one champion, we want to congratulate each and every captain and each and every league member for helping make this season the biggest and best ever. The level of skill, sportsmanship and fun we had out on that field (and off) was astounding.
