This fall we will feature five courses of five weeks each:
Two daytime courses will run for the first half of the semester each Tuesday, September 18 through October 16.
One evening course will run for the first half of the semester each Thursday, September 20 through October 18.

Rainbow LLI Fall 2012 Brown Bag Speakers Series
Tuesdays throughout our Fall 2012 semester, Rainbow Lifelong Learning Institute Boston will offer a series of Brown Bag Speakers. Brown Bag presentations are free of charge and do not require registration to attend. Both students in our courses and non-students are welcome to participate. Brown Bag speakers are scheduled during the lunch period between the morning and afternoon Courses for that day. As the name suggests, participants are welcome to bring a bag or box lunch to eat during the speaker’s talk.
Presentations will run from 12:15 p.m.-1:15 p.m. Tuesday afternoons at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington, 630 Massachusetts Avenue in Arlington, MA. Please use the Mass Ave entrance to the church to attend both Brown Bag talks and courses.
September 18, ParksPass Presentation; The Prettiest Places in the Commonwealth
Please join us for a slide presentation of some of the prettiest places in our state parks. A Massachusetts Senior Citizens ParksPass provides a gateway to all of this beauty by offering free parking at all of our state parks. We hope to have time to distribute ParksPasses after the lecture. They are available for free to Mass residents age 62 or older who show a birth certificate or Mass Driver’s License as proof of their age. Presenter: Lynn Hildenbrand works in the Mass Dept. of Conservation and Recreation’s Visitor Services department. Beginning her day at the Camp Nihan Environmental Center in Saugus frequently involves encounters with deer browsing the banks of Hawkes Brook, or the Great Blue Heron residing on Peckham Pond.
September 25, Details of the Death with Dignity Act
A representative from Dignity 2012 will explain the details of the Death with Dignity Act ballot question that voters in Massachusetts will likely consider on November 6. The Death with Dignity Act would give terminally ill patients with less than six months to live the ability to make voluntary and informed decisions about their end-of-life care. Dignity 2012 is a coalition of concerned citizens supporting the proposed Massachusetts Death with Dignity Act.
